I Had ‘Bhang’ On Holi And This Is Exactly How It Felt

Bhang, the idea sounds fun, what’s more fun is the after effects of it. In the first hour of consuming bhang, you feel like you’re immune to all the intoxication. You curse the quality of bhang and your body’s capacity to accept bhang so gracefully. But the moment bhang effect starts affecting you, the real fun begins.

All you people with heavy heads, who can’t concentrate on their work and are trying to figure out what happened on holi, this is how I felt and I assume you experienced this too

1. It all started when the time slowed down
I realized this especially when I tried to climb up the stairs. I wondered how many floors I climbed, coz the steps looked never ending.

2. Third person’s voice started ringing in the background. It felt like someone was talking from the back of my head
And I soon realised it was my voice (This made me wonder why I took hours to speak one sentence, and sounded so funny?).

3. I was tempted to eat something in particular and travelled many kilometers just to calm my craving

The travelling was not easy and I don’t remember half of it, but it was all worth it.

4. I have no idea how I reached my destination, coz I was busy snapping in and out of reality. Also, there were times when I couldn’t feel my legs.

I vaguely remember reaching there, but how I managed to get there without breaking my bones? My friend only knows.

5. I held the corner of my friend’s t-shirt throughout my “high on bhang session” Because I knew I would conk off any moment. I simply couldn’t stand straight. I was all sloppy and wiggly.

6. Ate all the food like a beggar starving for 10 days straight. Had no idea why and how? But simply wanted to eat the entire world’s food in that moment, Went to multiple restaurants to find cheap food with big portions. I feel my dead taste buds today, obviously because my mouth was stuffed with hot food.

7. The moment I snapped back into reality, I just wanted to go home and sleep .

Tried to figure ways to go home, but was soon snapped out of reality.

8. It all felt like a movie as if I was constantly inside a movie screen theater with a 3D film going around.

Had absolutely no idea where the bass was coming from. The movie was definitely in slow motion.

9. Smiled non-stop. Looked at random strangers and smiled. Simply smiled at anything and everything I came across ....I have no idea why? Though I’m glad, because I haven’t smiled like that in ages!

10. Bhang day’s reflection is in my eyes. That messed up ‘after stoned’ look, looks like I had one helluva time on Holi

I’m simply screaming in my mind, “I had the best Holi ever; though I don’t remember most of it”

11. Next morning I checked my phone for all the calls and messages that were exchanged in my stoned state, to get the hang of things I simply can’t remember when all the calls and WhatsApp messages happened? When did anything in general happened?

Can’t stop asking myself questions like, “When did that happen?” “Did that happen for real?” “Was it real or are you just dreaming?”

The bhang trip took me to another world where everything looked and felt like Nolan’s films. It was risky, but I definitely had the time of my life.

What about you?
